Modern Mexican murals emboss the terra cotta colored walls above the dark wood booths and sleek black floors. The chatty and informative manager Sylvia will be glad to explain the exotic ingredients and history of enchilada zacatecattecawas and mola pibil giving you an education as well as a deliciously exciting meal.


Mexico City was started in 1993 after Albert Jr. Solis convinced his mother, Sylvia, that she should start a Mexican Restaurant with all of her recipes. When the restaurant first opened, it was formed as a limited partnership with ten other investors. It took eighteen months before they were able to turn a profit. The Solis family is now the sole owners of the company and they are continuing to run it successfully.
